1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using the Bangladesh Drug Directory at drugs.pharmacyos.work (the “Directory”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to all terms, you must stop using the Directory immediately.

These terms apply to all visitors, users, organisations, and automated systems that access the Directory, whether via a browser, API call, proxy, or any other method.

2. Informational use only — not medical advice

The Directory reflects data sourced from the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) and DGDA-licensed manufacturers. While we make every effort to keep data accurate and up-to-date, we make no warranty of completeness, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Data may change between updates; verify critical information directly with DGDA or the manufacturer before clinical use.

3. Permitted uses

You may use the Directory for the following purposes:

• Personal, non-commercial reference: looking up a medicine by name, generic, or indication for your own understanding.
• Professional reference by a registered physician, pharmacist, or healthcare professional, subject to the medical disclaimer in Section 2.
• Academic and educational research, with attribution to the Bangladesh Drug Directory.
• Journalism and public-interest reporting, with attribution to the Bangladesh Drug Directory and Roktobindu Foundation.
• Sharing individual drug pages via hyperlink (not by reproducing the content wholesale).

4. Prohibited uses and automated access

• 1.Use any automated tool, script, bot, spider, crawler, headless browser, or scraper to access, index, or extract data from the Directory in bulk.
• 2.Access the Directory's API endpoints (including /api/public/catalog/*, /api/catalog/search, or any undocumented endpoint) without an authorised API key issued by Roktobindu Foundation.
• 3.Bypass, circumvent, or attempt to bypass any technical access controls, CAPTCHAs, Turnstile challenges, IP rate-limits, or bot-detection mechanisms.
• 4.Extract, download, or reproduce drug listings, product images, monographs, pricing data, or any other content at scale for use in another product, database, or service.
• 5.Use the data for price comparison, price monitoring, competitive intelligence, or pharmaceutical market analysis without written permission.
• 6.Mirror, cache, or re-publish Directory content on another website or platform.
• 7.Use the Directory or its data to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any machine learning model, large language model, or AI system without written permission.
• 8.Misrepresent the source of data derived from the Directory, or remove attribution.

5. Commercial use

Any commercial use of the Directory's content — including incorporating drug data into a commercial product, service, or application — requires a separate written data licence agreement with Roktobindu Foundation. This includes:

• Pharmacy management software that ingests our drug catalog.
• E-commerce or B2B platforms that display or search our drug listings.
• Healthcare applications that surface our clinical data to end-users commercially.
• Research reports or publications sold commercially that rely substantially on our data.

6. Intellectual property

The Bangladesh Drug Directory — including its curation, organisation, classification scheme, search infrastructure, pack-shot images, and design — is the intellectual property of Roktobindu Foundation.

The underlying drug registration data originates from DGDA, a government authority, and is in the public domain. However, our database curation, normalisation, categorisation, translation into Bengali, linking of generics to indications, and aggregation of manufacturer data constitutes a substantial original work and is protected accordingly.

Product images are sourced from DGDA-licensed manufacturers and remain the property of their respective manufacturers. They are published on this site under fair-use principles for public health information. You may not reproduce product images without the respective manufacturer's written consent.

Where permitted use includes reproducing excerpts or referencing this Directory (e.g. in academic work or journalism), attribution must include:

The Directory is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Roktobindu Foundation does not warrant that the Directory will be available without interruption, that the data is error-free, or that it reflects the current DGDA-approved MRP for any medicine.

Drug pricing, availability, and regulatory status change frequently. Always verify with the pharmacy or the official DGDA database for any decision involving dispensing, purchasing, or clinical use.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Roktobindu Foundation, its trustees, staff, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Directory, including but not limited to harm arising from reliance on drug information found here, loss of data, or business interruption.

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via the About page for at least 30 days before taking effect. The “Effective date” at the top of this page indicates when the current version came into force. Continued use of the Directory after a change is effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
